Methodist Hospital

St. Louis Park, MN

Due to the onsite Sleep Clinic, our work schedule was unknown until 6 a.m. every day. Allowable noise work of 3 total hours or less spread throughout the day was not unusual. This required multiple task switching on a daily basis from noisy demolition to quieter installation while also requiring constant relocation of workers on the building. Smokestack cap replacement needed to be accomplished while the main hospital boiler was operational, necessitating the creation of heat deflectors and hot work limitations. Despite these limitations this work was completed on time and under budget.

Project Scope

  • Installation of 5,500 lineal feet of through wall flashing
  • Replacement of 305 windows
  • Removal and replacement of sheet metal parapet
  • Replacement of 1,600 brick
  • Coating of 1,100 square feet architectural concrete
  • Repointing of 1,610 square feet of mortar joints
  • Widening or installation of 600 lineal feet control joints
  • Replacement of smokestack cap
