Half moon battery at Fort Snelling

HALF MOON BATTERY

Fort Snelling

The exterior wall of the beautiful Fort Snelling Battery was around 100 feet from the ground on a cliff. We utilized specialized scaffolding to access the area with safety being our primary concern. The old stone was dropped down the wall and cleaned up at the base of the cliff. The drop area had to be secured 20 feet high, because a park trail ran along the location. Then, we had new stone cut to match the original and brought all of the stone and mortar out on the scaffold from ramps.
